What's with the "walking in place" idle animation again?
Good question! One of our main goal has always been to re-create as much of the classic experience of the old classics, such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre. The “walking in place” is the style that was used in those legendary titles, so we decided early on in the project that we’d use that style as well, to try to be as faithful as possible to the original experience.
But we’ve received an about even response on that decision, with lots of fans loving the nostalgia feel of it, but also with lots of fans finding it… weird. If you look at our Stretch Goals, you’ll see the 2nd one is actually about creating a new custom “idle animation” and then letting the playing select which one they want in game (retro vs new one). This way, we’ll be able to ensure that everyone gets the “idle animation” style they really want!

Will there be a DRM-free version? GOG, Humble store, etc?
We are planning on a DRM-free version of the game for the fans that want it. We would love to be on GOG and the Humble store, but we haven’t solidified any arrangement with them yet. We are however fully setup with Game Jolt and Itch.io for a DRM-free version of the game and would be happy to offer it there.
In summary: we are planning a DRM-free version, but we’re still looking at our options as to where it’ll be available from precisely.

Tell me more about consoles port plans!
We designed Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark with consoles in mind. The game fully supports gamepads and we’re in talks with Sony and Nintendo about the PS4 and the Switch specifically.
We’re still expecting news from both at this point, but it’s not finalized. We won’t promise a PS4 or Switch version unless we are ABSOLUTELY sure we can deliver it and at this point, we very confident, but not 100% certain. It’s not a question of funding, but of approval and connections, hence why we’re not making a Stretch Goal about it.
TL;DR: We think it’s very likely we’ll have a PS4 and Switch versions going, but it’s still not guaranteed. We’ll make an announcement as soon as we know more! :)

Where do I send my Portrait/Design/etc? Where do I access special backer content?
In your backer survey, we’ll be collecting your Discord user name and granting special permissions on our Discord server (https://discord.gg/dF7FbAS) to any backers with Beta access tiers and above.
We’ll be using Discord to collect feedback and suggestions from the Beta Backers and to gather portraits and designs in the special backer sections on there. Just head on to our discord, there’s a big Beta Backers section in there with lots of information, map previews and all sorts of goodies to make the process of creating your custom content easier!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
